About Me

I am Dr. Yun Chen, a licensed clinical psychologist. If I have the pleasure to work with you, I will help you find the answers to three questions: (1) what do I want? (2) How to get there? and (3) what's getting in the way? Your answers to these questions will guide you towards a meaningful life. I look forward to joining you on the journey of self discovery, exploration, understanding, and eventually, making changes happen.

I specialize in the treatment of anxiety, depression, chronic pain, trauma, OCD, and related disorders. Offering a therapeutic style of compassion, collaboration, and genuine curiosity, I flexibly integrate cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) with skills from various disciplines, including behavioral activation (BA), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), to facilitate treatment success. I also have extensive experience working with couples. In particular, I practice cognitive behavioral couple therapy (CBCT) and emotionally focused therapy (EFT) to promote relationship strength for couples whose relationships are under stress.
