Welcome! I am excited to embark on the journey of self-discovery and life-discovery with you as a “fellow traveler.” I strongly believe that a trusting and collaborative therapeutic relationship is the key to successful therapy. Together, we can create a warm and judgment-free environment where you feel safe to tell your story, explore your inner self, and find acceptance and understanding. You may also feel challenged at times when I share my insights and interpretations to help you reach the goals you want to achieve through the therapeutic process.
In our sessions together, we will likely start with your current struggles or crises and then dig deeper into various contributing factors, both internal and environmental. Since everyone’s circumstances and needs are unique, I will strive to understand your subjective world and identify your strengths and assets before collaboratively coming up with an action plan moving forward that fits you the best.
I hold a Master’s Degree in World Language Education from New York University and am currently pursuing a Master’s in Mental Health Counseling at Hunter College. Having lived, studied, and worked in different parts of the world, I am dedicated to providing culturally sensitive counseling to clients from all walks of life. I offer in-person and online sessions in both English and Mandarin (Chinese).
