I am a trauma-informed licensed creative arts therapist and a certified EMDR therapist specialized in treating PTSD, Complex-PTSD, anxiety and depression.
I strive to help you with navigating challenging life transitions, alleviating symptoms of anxiety and depression, and healing from past trauma. One focus of my practice is working with adults who grew up with emotionally immature and abusive parents, and addressing issues such as insecure attachment patterns, fear of abandonment, negative core beliefs, poor boundaries, emotional dysregulation, people pleasing behaviors or perfectionism.
As a creative arts therapist, I integrate music and art-making, movement, and various creative processes to provide a safe channel for my clients to express and explore intense feelings and the unconscious. Through this creative exploration, my clients can release tension in the body and unburden themselves from suppressed emotions. The resulting artistic expressions serve as powerful reflections of their internal landscapes. By exploring the feelings and artistic expressions, my clients can gain deeper insights and understanding about themselves. With the new found self-awareness and self-understanding, my clients can then break unhealthy behavioral patterns and make growth choices that lead to healthier relationships and more fulfilling life.
As an EMDR certified therapist, Wen has witnessed many transformative moments of emotional release during EMDR reprocessing. Many clients reported that their previous triggers no longer have the same hold on them after EMDR. They express feeling more empowered and confident, equipped with increased self-awareness and a newfound sense of spontaneity in life. Wen is committed to utilize effective methods, such as EMDR, Parts and somatic work to foster her clients' innate capacity for healing and personal growth.
Wen believes in being equipped with a wealth of clinical tools so she can meet her clients' unique needs with the tools that best serve them.
