My approach as a therapist is shaped by my own experiences navigating intergenerational trauma, complex family dynamics, and living in both Asia and the United States. These experiences have deepened my understanding of how early relationships, cultural expectations, and environments can shape the way people see themselves and relate to others. Before becoming a therapist, I studied psychology and business at the University of Pennsylvania and worked in high-pressure corporate environments, giving me firsthand insight into perfectionism, burnout, and the uncertainty that can come with questioning whether the path you’re on is on is truly the one you want.
I work primarily with adults and young adults navigating anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, burnout, relationship challenges, relational and attachment trauma, and the effects of growing up without consistent emotional support. I am especially passionate about supporting people who feel overwhelmed by expectations, disconnected from themselves or others, or caught in cycles of questioning whether they are “enough.” My therapeutic style is primarily person-centered, while also drawing from CBT, DBT, mindfulness, and acceptance-based approaches according to each client’s needs and goals. My goal is to help clients understand themselves more deeply, relate to themselves more compassionately, and create lives guided by their own values rather than external expectations.
