I am currently pursuing a PsyD degree in Clinical Psychology at Capella University and have a variety of work experience in mental health as a creative arts therapist, ranging from school settings, home-based services, outpatient clinics, psychiatric inpatient treatment, and rehab programs, to virtual services. I have worked with children and adults with emotional disturbance, such as depression or anxiety, chronic or acute stress, past trauma, substance use, behavioral issues, loss, and grief, as well as life transition and adjustment. I value empathy. I utilize mindfulness and a strength-based approach in my services. I strive to offer a non-judgmental and encouraging space that enables self-exploration and self-reflection. I also encourage my clients to examine critical issues from different perspectives. Recognizing the specific needs and unique background of each individual, I incorporate psychoeducation and skill training in my services when needed. I believe that everyone has the internal strength to make positive changes in life, and I work toward empowering my clients with support and validation.
