I specialize in working with Asian Americans and immigrants who struggle with persistent anxiety of being “never good enough” that may stem from their complex trauma (C-PTSD). Most of my clients are first or second generation of immigrants, and they have experienced severe criticism and lack of acceptance and love for who they truly were as a child in their family, which leads to their anxiety, low self-esteem and low self-worh. If you share some of those experiences and feel stuck to move forward with those pains, I would love to help you.
I also believe in what I can offer not only as your therapist but as a person with various life experiences that I have gained in my personal and professional life. In addition to my clinical training and theoretical approach, I draw upon my personal experiences and understanding as an Asian woman, immigrant, parent, and career changer when it is clinically effective in my therapy. While everyone’s life experience is unique, I deeply understand various emotional pains and struggles that we share in our communities. I believe who I am as a person outside the therapy room provides me more depths in understanding and compassions towards my clients in the similar life situations and the work we do together in therapy. If any of my identity or experience resonates with you, I encourage you to reach out for a free consultation today.
