Welcome, I’m Henry. Traditional Western concepts of mental health often fail to capture the realities of marginalized communities, leaving behind those who need support the most. Being a queer Chinese immigrant, I witness and experience firsthand the lack of personalized, affirming care for marginalized communities, and I strive to provide a space where we honor the full complexity of your lived experience and navigate together the intersecting systems of oppression and privilege that shape our lives. I bring an affirming and direct style, and I believe therapy isn't about having everything figured out — it's about showing up with openness to change.

I practice primarily from a psychodynamic orientation — specifically Intensive Short-Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP) — while also drawing from humanistic and existential approaches. I work extensively with trauma and am trained in Brainspotting and EMDR, which lets me tailor our work in an integrative way to meet your unique needs and goals. While I support clients across a wide range of concerns, I specialize in immigration and cross-cultural stress, self-worth and self-image, gender and sexual identity exploration, non-monogamy, and intimacy and diverse sexual experiences. Having also worked previously in the tech industry, I also work deeply with clients in navigating career fulfillment and transitions.
