Building pathways for enhancing mental health and well-being.
My name is Esther Kang, I am a licensed therapist based in the heart of New York City. I believe in the transformative power of therapy to bridge the gaps in our minds and hearts, leading to enhanced well-being. Furthermore, I believe wellness is not just the absence of crisis or illness but the intentional pursuit of habits and lifestyles that enhance one's overall state of well-being.
My therapeutic approach is rooted in the belief that everyone has the inherent strength and capacity for growth and healing. By integrating proven methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, strength-based approaches, and mindfulness, I provide a supportive and dynamic environment for change. I tailor my approach to each individual, ensuring that therapy is a collaborative and evolving journey.
While I work with a variety of populations, my specialty lies in working with young to mid-adult women and teens, helping them navigate challenges unique to women at different stages of life. Additionally, I offer expertise in relationship counseling, supporting individuals and couples in building healthy, fulfilling connections.
A cornerstone of my practice is a goal-oriented approach, where we collaboratively set and work towards specific, meaningful objectives. This method not only provides a clear direction for our sessions but also helps clients track their progress and celebrate their achievements. My goal is to provide a compassionate and empowering environment where clients feel heard, understood, and equipped to achieve their personal and relational goals.
