Many of my clients have dealt with navigating various conflicting sub-cultures, painful upbringings that affect their adulthood, complex relationships while preserving self-love, and/or delayed and assumed life goals. Specifically, I've worked with clients struggling with general anxiety, depression, past/current relational trauma, and emotional turmoil that stems from loved ones (family or romantic) and in the workplace. Also being bilingual in Korean and understanding Asian culture, I'm also able to help navigate the often times contradicting cultures.
My clients appreciate the combined work of psychodynamic, a look into their past, and CBT, a more practical approach. By understanding one's past and applying therapeutic techniques to their present situations, clients have found a sense of progress and satisfaction in life.
Growing up as an immigrant learning two languages and cultures, with my experience and training, I enjoy coming alongside those who struggle in life's various complex identities/situations. Having unconditional and professional support during my extremely difficult times inspired me to train to support others who may be experiencing the same.
