People often come to therapy with a common complaint — “Why aren’t I happier?” This can be particularly confusing if you’ve worked long and hard to craft a life your younger self would be thrilled about. So why is it a struggle to fully inhabit your life, to be comfortable in your own skin and enjoy the ride? Why can’t you feel more relaxed, secure and like you belong? What is getting in the way of you feeling like you are worthy, deserving and just inherently “good enough”? The reasons your internal reality doesn’t match your external one are part of the mystery that lies within. Therapy is the adventure that allows you to connect with those unarticulated beliefs and consciously decide if they still resonate. My role as your therapist will be to help you with that. How? We’ll talk and I’ll try to ask just the right questions. Sometimes it will feel hard. But I hope that it will also feel like support and encouragement as you grow, adapt and integrate all of who you are.
