By creating a nonjudgmental environment, Carmen utilizes empathy, patience, and encouragement to empower clients through healing and self-discovery. She tailors her approach to meet the unique needs of each client, hoping to guide clients to a more in-depth connection to themselves and gain agency over their lives despite the challenges they face. Carmen is dedicated to working with various underserved communities such as LGBTQ+, immigrants, neurodivergent, racial/cultural minorities, etc. She has experience working with young teens to older adults who struggle with or experience mood disorders like depression and various forms of anxiety, low self-esteem, life transition/adaption, eating disorders, family conflict, LGBTQ+ issues, complex trauma, racial/cultural trauma, and grief.
