About Me

I believe that everyone, when provided with a safe and supportive environment, is capable of overcoming various curveballs that life throws our way. Deciding to start therapy takes great strength - I want to congratulate you for taking your first big step!

As a Japanese-Chinese American woman, I have firsthand experience of some of the common challenges that many Asian and Asian Americans face in terms of transitioning to a completely new culture. I am here to support you in your transitional journey, and will help you discover and build upon your inner strengths, as well as provide effective coping skills.

I have experience and passion for for working with teens, young adults, and elders who have experienced trauma, as well as issues related to depression, anxiety, and grief. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic, and Mindfulness-Based approaches to help you get skilled at identifying unhealthy beliefs and rebuilding your self-narrative.

My therapy approach is collaborative, as I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy and will tailor our sessions to meet your unique goals and needs. I look forward to helping you get unstuck from whatever situation you came to therapy for, and to join you in this difficult (yet beautiful) journey you are embarking on.
