Whether you’re going through a major life change, a lowered mood, or just need some extra support, therapy can be for you. By approaching therapy as a collaborative process, we can work to explore challenging areas in life and build upon a foundation of strength, curiosity, and growth. I work with clients who are residents of both New York and New Jersey.
At the center of my therapy practice is a safe, non-judgemental, and supportive space for all clients. I aim to help clients meet their therapeutic goals by drawing from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), motivational interviewing, and psychodynamic lenses, with an emphasis on adapting to the needs of clients. My work is client-centered and interactive. Much of my work centers on life challenges such as anxiety, transitional stress, relationship issues, self esteem building, and minority stress.
I have experience in the higher education space and now focus my time in private practice. I earned my Master of Arts and Master of Education in Mental Health Counseling from Columbia University, and Bachelor’s from Brandeis University. I completed my clinical graduate internship with Fordham University where I helped students of all backgrounds with a variety of challenges, ranging from career exploration, transitional stress, anxiety, to depression. As an Asian American and daughter of refugees, I hold an importance in shining light upon intersectional identities. I aim to bring space and awareness to identity exploration and approach my therapeutic work with a multicultural lens. Within my work, I also hope to bring forward more awareness and openness within Asian American and immigrant communities.
