Asian American Women Managing Anxiety Group (virtual)

This therapy group is for self-identified Asian American women, and offers an opportunity to develop more comfort with vulnerability and authenticity. Led by Cathay Che, LCSW, the group will meet on a 4-week cycle and discussion topics may include the following:

  • The difference between striving for excellence and perfectionism
  • Challenges related to being Asian and female in the workplace
  • Battling the “Inner Bully”, self-esteem, and body-image
  • The anger bind (can’t show/express anger) — what do I do with it?
  • The experience of being bicultural — caught between eastern and western values
  • Building healthy boundaries with family
  • Utilizing compassionate self-talk and self-care practices

Dates: Saturdays, starting January 9th, 2021

Times: 4:30pm – 6pm ET

The fee for the entire 4 cycle is $200 ($50 per session). Out of network benefits may also be utilized. The group will be 8-10 people, and members are required to be actively working with an individual therapist. One full/partial scholarship is available for those who cannot afford the full fee.
